This Lhakpa Ri expedition require a medium level of climbing proficiency on steep, exposed and technical skill and altitude experience of 6000m trekking peak, 4 + rock and Ice climbing experience, capable of 5/6 hour walk a day and for the Summit day 7/8 hours walk.

Excellent physical and mentally condition are required for this Expedition. Basic recommendation for the training with National mountaineering climbing institute or with professional mountain guide.

Expedition has organised about 15 expeditions to Lhakpa Ri (7,045m) since 1995 and as such, we have an excellent knowledge of this mountaineering objective, located opposite the North Face of Mt Everest. The approach to Lhakpa Ri is via the Tibetan Plateau, to the Rongbuk Monastery and Base Camp on the North side of Everest. We then trek up the historic East Rongbuk where we have 3/4 acclimatization period in Rongbuk Chinese Base Camp. Then trek 2 days up with Yaks and our Sherpa team toward Advance Base Camp (6,400m), having middle camp in between.

The North Col ascent is significantly more involved, being much steeper and requiring a higher level of rope skills. As such, we have graded the North Col compared to Lhakpa Ri. Clearly the expedition duration is the same whether you opt to climb to the North Col, with the Lhakpa Ri only climbers spending an extra day in Advance Base Camp when the North Col climbers make their ascent.

In order to mineralized the North Col. program, we will have Everest Expedition Team and Lhakpa Ri as well to join the same comfortable Base Camp from where people have different peaks. So we basically confirm from the minimum number of people from 2-7 persons.
